Breastfeed Atlanta is a real Breastfeeding Center: a dedicated, professionally staffed clinical space built for feeding care, with private consultation rooms and on-site equipment, not a borrowed exam room and not a spare room in someone's home. Our Sandy Springs location sits just north of Buckhead near the GA-400 and Interstate 285 interchange, about 10 to 15 minutes from neighborhoods like Peachtree Heights, Garden Hills, and the Lenox and Phipps area. It is 3,600 square feet devoted entirely to breastfeeding, a freestanding space focused on nothing else, which is rare for a lactation practice.

Whether you delivered at Piedmont Atlanta or another nearby hospital and want help in the first days, or you are weeks in and working through latch, pain, supply, or the return to work, you will find clinical care under one roof. Because our nurse practitioners can evaluate, treat, and prescribe when clinically appropriate, many concerns that would otherwise mean a second referral can be handled in one place.

How we care for you

Most Buckhead families are seen at the Center, since being in person lets us assess latch, weigh and observe a full feed, and work hands on. When a drive is not practical, telehealth visits with the same clinical team are available across Atlanta. And when being seen at home is easier, we come to you, by arrangement for families close by.

Your care comes from a team of IBCLCs and nurse practitioners, most of them dual credentialed as both NP and IBCLC, with two physician Medical Directors providing clinical oversight.

Insurance and billing

We are in network with most major commercial insurance plans and every Georgia Medicaid CMO, and our in-house billing team files your claims directly. Send a photo of your insurance card and we will verify your benefits before your visit, so you know your costs up front.
