Lactation care from Breastfeed Atlanta in Sandy Springs
Multi-specialty lactation services for every Atlanta family. Expert care from IBCLCs and nurse practitioner IBCLCs, in network with most insurance and every Georgia Medicaid CMO.
A real Breastfeeding Center
Breastfeed Atlanta is a real Breastfeeding Center: a dedicated, professionally staffed clinical space built for feeding care, with private consultation rooms and on-site equipment, not a borrowed exam room and not a spare room in someone's home. Our Sandy Springs location is 3,600 square feet devoted entirely to breastfeeding, a freestanding space focused on nothing else, which is rare for a lactation practice. It means private rooms for unhurried visits, room for prenatal and group education, a pump and supply area where you can see and try equipment, and a team that practices together under one roof. Families come to us from across north metro Atlanta because the Center is built around the work, not squeezed in beside it.

Our clinical operations are overseen by two Medical Directors. Dr. Hiral Lavania, MD, IBCLC, NABBLM-C, is a board-certified pediatrician and one of only three physicians in Georgia who hold NABBLM certification in Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine. Dr. Karla L. Booker, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN. Both serve as Medical Directors, providing clinical oversight and case consultation; neither provides direct patient care at Breastfeed Atlanta. Their oversight ensures our team meets evidence-based standards.
What families say about our Glenridge office
"Daniela is truly amazing. Thorough, listens well, wastes no time, and definitely made it easier for me and my baby to feed. The adjustments are small but profound and that's real expertise. I didn't think I needed to get my nipple sized for a flange and I absolutely did. I pump now with no nipple pain."
"Beth Myler worked with me to provide mental health support around breastfeeding and overall postpartum wellness. She talked through my mental health history and made sure I had every resource I needed. I cannot recommend her enough for anyone postpartum."
"Everyone I worked with was wonderful. I struggled with breastfeeding my first baby, so when my second was born I was honestly dreading starting that journey again. The lactation specialists at Breastfeed Atlanta were incredibly helpful and supported me through everything in such an encouraging, thoughtful way."
