Conditions We Treat
Lactation isn't always straightforward. When something goes wrong, you want a clinical team that can identify what's happening and actually treat it, not just refer you elsewhere. Our team evaluates and treats the full range of breastfeeding and lactation conditions, from common challenges to complex clinical cases that need prescribing nurse practitioners or physician input.
Low Milk Supply Most low supply cases have a clear cause and a workable solution. Our team evaluates milk transfer, breast anatomy, pump fit, and underlying medical issues to identify the root cause, then builds a plan with you that may include feeding adjustments, pumping strategies, or coordination with your other providers.
Mastitis Mastitis often needs same-day clinical attention. Our nurse practitioners can evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe antibiotics directly, without the delay of referring you to urgent care or other providers.
Clogged Ducts and Plugged Ducts Recurrent clogged ducts often point to an underlying cause. We help you resolve current clogs and identify why they keep happening.
Engorgement Severe engorgement in the early weeks can derail breastfeeding. We help you manage it safely while protecting your milk supply.
Sore or Cracked Nipples Pain while breastfeeding is not normal. We evaluate latch, position, and underlying causes including thrush, vasospasm, and skin conditions.
Tongue Tie and Lip Tie Our clinical team evaluates tongue tie, documents findings, coordinates a release when indicated, and provides the post-release feeding rehabilitation that determines whether the release actually worked.
Thrush Thrush requires antifungal treatment for both parent and baby. Our nurse practitioners can prescribe directly, no separate appointment with another provider required.
Latch Problems A painful or ineffective latch usually has a specific, identifiable cause. We watch your baby feed, evaluate what's happening, and correct it in a single visit when possible.
Low Infant Weight Gain When baby isn't gaining as expected, we evaluate feeding effectiveness, breast anatomy, infant anatomy, and underlying medical issues to find the actual cause.
Vasospasm and Raynaud's of the Nipple A specific cause of nipple pain that's often missed by other providers. Our team recognizes and treats it.
Oversupply and Forceful Letdown Too much milk is its own clinical problem. We help families reduce supply safely and resolve the feeding difficulties oversupply creates.
Pumping Pain and Output Concerns Pain or dropping output while pumping is often a flange fit issue, but can also signal a clinical condition. We evaluate both.
