Pumps. Products. Education. Support.

At least 85% of lactating parents will use a breast pump at least part of the time. Whether it’s for a baby with special needs, the mother’s preference, or a myriad of reasons, breast pumping has become a fact of life for most families. Even so, many of our patients are frustrated by outdated or conflicting advice from lactation professionals. We are here to change that.

Did you know that very little training in breast pumps is required to become an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)? That’s right. IBCLCs must seek out this knowledge and training on their own, and some do seek that training, but many do not. All IBCLCs who see patients for Breastfeed Atlanta are required to have advanced training in breast pumps and to update this training regularly.

No matter how you choose to feed your baby, you deserve to be supported. In addition to offering support from our highly qualified IBCLCs, we carry a full line of breast pumps and accessories. We know that breast pumping is an essential component of your breastfeeding experience. We are dedicated to helping you maximize this part of your experience. We can bill many of our services and products to your insurance (including Medicaid), and offer discounts to those without insurance coverage.  We have services to help you choose a pump, learn how to use a new pump, or troubleshoot your pump.

We know that access to health care, including medical equipment such as breast pumps, is a social determinant of health. We consider healthcare access a universal human right, and we are committed to doing our part to ensure that every breastfeeding parent has access to a quality breast pump that meets their needs. If you are struggling to get access to a breast pump, please reach out to us.
